Resolution Property announces opening of Alphabeta in 2014 (UK)

Leading European real estate investor and developer Resolution Property has announced its plans to open a ground-breaking contemporary work-hub for creatives in 2014.

Situated on Worship Street, the development will uniquely bridge Shoreditch and the City to become the new heart for London's modern creative and media companies.

Spread over 9 stories and encompassing 237,590 ft² (approx. 22,072 m²) Alphabeta, designed by award-winning architecture practice Studio RHE (Richard Hywel Evans) will reinvent a colossal landmark building and open in early 2014.

Alphabeta's position embraces the area's entrepreneurial outlook by plugging into Shoreditch's well-established business, cultural and social networks whilst retaining links to the City's financial roots. Located in the thriving triangular plot; south of Shoreditch, bordering Old Street and adjacent to the City, Alphabeta is serviced by multiple transport links.

Alphabeta marks a new era of dynamic and exceptional design that embraces both professional needs as well as personal comforts whilst preserving quality, creativity and sustainability. Studio RHE, (winners of the prestigious Architectural Record Award: 'Good Design is Good Business'), was commissioned to outline a new architectural and design meaning to the indoor workplace.

The redesign includes upgrading of services within the building which reduce the existing carbon energy demands. These new strategies allow for a healthier internal environment and aims to be less reliant on mechanical systems.

Key features includes a dramatic 'ride-in' cycle ramp- visible from the Lobby- to a dedicated bicycle zone in the basement with generous racking and shower facilities; The Lobby, a vibrant communal space accented with an Art Wall and digital works; The Studio, a 3,000 ft² (approx. 287 m²) flexible event space; The Court, a recreational space for yoga, basketball and other activities and The Deck, a communal roof-top terrace for informal gatherings. RHE will utilize and retain the exposed original features and augment them with a contemporary fit-out and controlled lighting, reminiscent of a gallery space.

The Alphabeta core values of creativity, commerce and community are reflected in the spirit of the design and architecture of the building. Through these unique elements, Alphabeta sets the new standard for modern and stimulating working environments.
