REDEVCO Finland acquires high street property in Jyväskylä (FI/NL)

REDEVCO Finland has purchased a high street property in Jyväskylä from Sampo plc for approx. €9 million. The building was constructed in 1965 and is located at a prominent retail site on Kauppakatu, a pedestrian zone. The property provides approx. 6,000 m² of retail space over four floors and is let on long term leases mainly to Sampo Bank and Halonen, a Finnish fashion retailer.

"This is our second investment in Jyväskylä and fourth investment in Finland during the last 12 months. We are very pleased to acquire a high street retail property with one of best locations in town. The property fits perfectly to our investment strategy," says Andrew Vaughan, Managing Director of REDEVCO UK/Nordics. "We are a long-term investor and our intention is to actively participate in the development of the city center. We will also continue to invest in the Finnish market and build up long-term relationships with our tenants there, as elsewhere."
