Germany has successfully completed redeveloping the Kant-Center on Berlin's Wilmersdorfer StraÃe. The end result is a modern, high-quality retail building offering a total of over 21,000 m² of shopping space and some office space, as well as a garage providing 288 parking spaces. A basement subway connects the building to the Berlin Underground.
The Kant-Center was developed on the site of the former Peek & Cloppenburg and C&A stores. The redeveloped building has been rented out to Media Markt, P&C, C&A, Fitness Company, Kant Dental, Idee Creativ, and Apcoa, operator of the garage. Total occupancy is over 95%. The completed project, developed by REDEVCO Europe s German organisation, has an estimated value in excess of €70 million.
REDEVCO Europe is proud of the success of this development and notes that there is growing interest in redeveloping inner-city locations. Substantial investments will be made in similar projects in the coming years.
