Record letting in Munich: FTI Group rents IVG project (DE)

Frosch Touristik GmbH (FTI), one of the leading tour operators in Germany, has rented 21,800 m² of office space in the IVG project 'An den Brücken' in Munich city center.

This is the biggest letting in the Bavarian capital for over a year and is another sign of IVG's successful performance in lettings this year. The building is part of a project development by IVG Immobilien AG on Landsberger Straße, between Hackerbrücke and Donnersbergerbrücke.

"In addition to the excellent transport links, the energy efficiency and quality of living in the building stand out", highlights Dietmar Gunz, the founder and CEO of FTI.

The travel company will move into the building, which is currently under construction, from spring 2010 on, uniting all companies in the FTI Group under one roof. Along with the tour operator FTI, the subsidiaries FTI Ticketshop, DriveFTI, 5vorFlug, LAL Sprachreisen,, sonnenklar.TV and Touristik Vertriebsgesellschaft TVG will move in, in addition to sister company BigXtra.

The new company headquarters provides space for the further expansion and will also incorporate a day care center and the television studios of the broadcaster sonnenklar.TV.

The project is being implemented consistently in accordance with green building principles and will be heated and cooled solely through the use of ground water. The use of numerous technical innovations, such as the management of lighting according to daylight levels, and the fact that elements of construction biology are taken into account are what distinguish this building with regard to operating cost efficiency and comfort of use.

"With FTI, we have found an excellent tenant who appreciates not only the central location but above all the ecological concept and the design and functional quality of the building", says Teymur D. Khanmoradi, the developer in charge of the project at IVG.

Thanks to the large letting to FTI, 77% of the An den Brücken project development has already been let on a long-term basis before completion. IVG is in concrete talks with various potential tenants about the remaining space in the MK1 unit, where spaces starting at 400 m² are still available.
