Acting on behalf of the BGV V fund, Real IS has acquired Plot 3 of the ODE project from landlord MAB Development. Savills will also be retained by Real IS as property managers on the scheme, which is fully let.

The Plot 3 development comprises office, retail and leisure space. It includes the 5,645 m² office building, De Alexander, which is occupied by the headquarters of D.E. Master Blenders 1753 and 7,225 m² of retail space, which is let to electronics retailer Saturn. The remaining 1,000 m² is occupied by a coffee shop, VIEW restaurant and B&B lunchroom.

Clive Pritchard, Head of Savills in the Netherlands, says: "The Oosterdokseiland project is a thriving new development in the heart of Amsterdam and the acquisition of Plot 3 by Real IS is evidence that the diverse scheme is attracting interest from international buyers."

Jeroen Galle, Project Director of Oosterdokseiland, comments: "We are very happy with the sale to Real I.S. This transaction, combined with the letting to DE Master Blenders 1753 earlier this year, prove that there is ongoing demand from occupiers and investors alike for good products in mixed use schemes.

"With the development of Oosterdokseiland Plots 5 and 6, MAB Development is providing future investment opportunities in the city center."

Oosterdokseiland is a development by OOA C.V., a joint venture between MAB Development and Meyer Bergman. The developers were advised by SIX Advocaten and Lexence.
