Euronext indices B.V has made an indicative selection for the AEX index® and the Amsterdam Midkap index® (AMX) based on available effective turnover figures. Of the ten new funds which will enter the AMX there are no less than six real estate companies.
Euronext Indices B.V. however, emphasises that this selection is only an indication of the annual re-weighting that will take place on the first trading day of March 2003. The selection and the weightings can change owing to future corporate events. The definitive selection will be announced at the beginning of 2003 and will be effective as from the second trading day in March.
Based on the current figures, the indices will change as follows:
AEX index®
IHC Caland will enter the AEX index®.
AMX index®
Corio, Heijmans, Kon. Boskalis Westminster, Rodamco Asia, Rodamco Europe, United Services Group, VastNed Offices/Industrial, VastNed Retail, Kon. Vopak and Wereldhave will enter the AMX index®;
IHC Caland, Amstelland MDC, Corus Group, Kon. Nedlloyd, Laurus, Ordina, PinkRoccade and Unit 4 Agresso will be removed from the AMX index®.
