Rémy Gancel will be appointed as Director Europe in charge of Specialized Sectors of GE Commercial Finance Real Estate. In this position he will be in charge of the development of its activities in Europe. His primary focus will be the hotel market.
His mission will be to generate new participations, either in the name of GE Commercial Finance Real Estate, or in the form of a joint venture with local partners. He will also be responsible for developing new financing opportunities (debt, sale-and-lease-back).
In order to do this Rémy Gancel will resign from all functions held at Sophia. He is rejoining GE Commercial Finance Real Estate following the re-acquisition of Sophia. He rejoined Sophia earlier in 1979 and became Managing Director (directeur général) in 1988, later on in 2001 he became CEO (président directeur général).
