Wembley Retail Park will include the first designer outlet scheme within the M25.

The change of use was sought in order to reconfigure and revitalize Wembley Retail Park in line with the company's overall retail strategy for Wembley City which includes the development of the London Designer Outlet, which will be the first designer outlet scheme within the M25.

The recent permissions were for the refurbishment of 90,000 ft² of space (on which A1 consent has previously been granted) and a further 55,000-ft² change of use to Open A1 from bulky goods.

Commenting, Phil Cottingham, Managing Director of Retail at Quintain, said: "This planning success will enable Quintain to capitalize on the ongoing demand from high-street retailers looking to gain greater representation on retail parks which offer good quality, affordable space.

"It also marks another important step forward in Quintain's strategy to revitalize the wider retail offering at Wembley, improving future income streams for the Group as well as the retail experience for residents of and visitors to Wembley City."
