Quinlan sells FORUM shopping center in Gliwice (PL/DE)

Quinlan Private Golub has sold the FORUM shopping center in Gliwice to the German company Deka Immobilien for approx. €128 million. FORUM was developed jointly by Danish Braaten+Pedersen and Quinlan Private Golub. The 43,000-m² shopping center offers a Carrefour hypermarket (6,500 m²), 132 shops selling leading popular fashion brands (27,500 m² in total), and in the recreation zone (1,850 m²) Cinema City, a multiplex cinema with 13 screens and seven restaurants.

The construction of FORUM, the first modern, third generation shopping center in Gliwice, was financed by Scandinavian group Borgestad and Quinlan Private, one of the founding companies of Quinlan Private Golub, who represented both investors during negotiations of the sale. Quinlan Private Golub will be retained as the manager of FORUM.

The FORUM, which was opened on 28 June 2007, is one of the largest shopping centers in the Silesian region. It was built in the very center of Gliwice, next to the railway station. The total amount invested was €75 million.

"FORUM's strong position in Silesia was confirmed by the fact that most of commercial space was leased by a large number of prestigious international tenants," said Ma³gorzata Trzaskowska, Retail Leasing Manager at Quinlan Private Golub.

FORUM's key tenants include Carrefour, Cinema City, H&M, Zara, RTV Euro AGD, Carry, Reinhold Lifestyle Sports & Heath Club, Bata, Benetton, CCC, Deichmann, Planet Sport, Wólczanka, Digel, Vistula, Pierre Cardin, Ravel, Triumph, Intermoda, Pull & Bear, Oysho, Bershka, Stradivarius, Cubus, Douglas, Reserved, Cropp Town, New Yorker, Orsay, Almi Decor, FLO, KappAhl, Ochnik and Diverse. Of the 130 shops in the FORUM, 110, nearly 70%, will offer clothing and footwear.
