Prologis solves logistics customers needs in Le Havre

Sale and leaseback transaction and new customer lease expands ProLogis Park Le Havre occupancy to 333,681 sq.ft. (31,000 m2)

ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities and services, announced today that it has completed a sale and leaseback transaction for two buildings totaling 161,458 square feet (15,000 m2), occupied by Daher and located at ProLogis Park Le Havre. In addition, ProLogis signed a six-year lease with XP Log for 86,111 square feet (8,000 m2) at the same park.

Through these transactions, ProLogis strengthens its position in Le Havre, a critical logistics hub for importing and exporting out of Europe. The location provides immediate access to the international shipping port – Le Havre Port Terminal – as well as rail service.

Daher, a third-party logistics company, has occupied its facilities since 1999. Daher plans to expand its presence in Le Havre in the future. “We expect to grow our logistics operation at Le Havre, and look forward to working with ProLogis in the future,” said Patrick Daher, President and Director of Daher.

XP Log, also a third party logistics company, will take occupancy after the grand opening of their facility on March 28th. XP Log is a subsidiary of SNCF, a French Rail Service company, making the location ideal due to its rail access. XP Log shares the building with Gefco, which also occupies just over 86,000 square feet (8,000 m2) of the 350,000 square feet (32,500 m2) building.

Ranald Hahn, Senior Vice President for ProLogis, said, “ProLogis believes there is a strong growth potential for Le Havre. Logistics companies such as Daher, XP Log and Gefco have a need for state-of-the-art facilities with immediate transportation access in order to maintain efficient logistics operations.”
