Protect Bratislava Ltd., a subsidiary of Cerva Export & Import, which is one of the largest personal protective equipment wholesale corporations in the CEE region, has leased 5,000 m² in building 5 at the park. Lagermax, a leading Austrian freight forwarding, car transport and logistics company, has leased 3,000 m² in the same building.

"We are pleased that our award-winning ProLogis Park Bratislava continues to attract new customers, even in such a challenging economic climate," states Mario Sander, market officer for ProLogis in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. "Both the Czech Republic and Slovakia serve as crucial locations for many trans-European corporations. As such, we believe ProLogis' network of state-of-the-art distribution and storage facilities, with space available immediately, will remain in demand throughout 2009. We welcome both Lagermax and Protect to ProLogis Park Bratislava, and look forward to supporting their supply chain needs."

"We selected ProLogis Park Bratislava for its convenient, strategic location but also because of the high level of customer service demonstrated by ProLogis. We are pleased with our agreement and will definitely consider ProLogis when planning any potential expansion in the future," said Andrej Bábsky, Director of Lagermax.

"The development of our company is closely linked to the integration of Slovakia into the EU structures, as well as to growth of domestic demand. Currently, manufacturers are spending more money on personal protective equipment, which has resulted in the recent expansion of our business. We needed a strong warehouse service partner and, after conducting a detailed market analysis, decided ProLogis was the right choice. Not only are they able to provide us with the desired quality but their broad portfolio will allow for seamless further expansion," said Jozef Paulen, Director of Protect Bratislava.

ProLogis Park Bratislava, which recently received Best Logistics Project 2008 at the CiJ Awards in Slovakia, is located along the E75 highway, approximately 24 kilometers east of the Bratislava city center and 16 kilometers from the capital's international airport. The park comprises six buildings totalling 182,600 m² of warehouse space. Customers of ProLogis Park Bratislava include: Brilux, Carcoustics, DHL, Gebrüder Weiss, HOPI, Lekkerland, Nay Elektrodom, Spandex, Tesco, Weindel and Wincanton.

ProLogis' portfolio in Slovakia totals over 380,000 m² (three distribution parks) of industrial space, as of December 31, 2008.
