ProLogis buys Stafford industrial development site (UK)

Industrial developer, ProLogis, has bought a 60-acre site in Stafford from Blackbrook Valley Developments. The site is located at Prime Point, close to Junction 14 of the M6. It has planning consent for distribution warehouses ranging from 300,000 sq ft to 525,000 sq ft, plus a separate plot for a further 270,000 sq ft. There is also potential for the development of a further 825,000 sq ft unit.

ProLogis Vice President, Alan Sarjant, commented: “There are strong indications of a significant demand for new and large distribution warehouses in the region over the next 12 months and few places where this demand can be satisfied by the delivery of new buildings within that time scale.'

Construction work is expected to begin early next year with completion scheduled for autumn 2005. ProLogis has already begun preliminary infrastructure works on the site.

NAI Fuller Peiser and King Sturge are advising ProLogis.
