Prologis announces Thomas Karmann to join the company as Head of Northern Europe (DE)

Prologis, Inc., the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, has announced the appointment of Thomas Karmann as Senior Vice President, Regional Director Northern Europe, effective from June 1, 2012.

Karmann will be responsible for all operational activities in Germany, Austria, Benelux and Scandinavia and reports to Philip Dunne, Prologis' President Europe.

"Thomas brings considerable expertise in logistics real estate and construction. He also has very relevant international experience that will be of enormous benefit to Prologis. We are pleased to have him join the team," said Philip Dunne, President, Prologis Europe.

"Thomas will be responsible for driving our strategy of strengthening our market position in Northern Europe and in particular in Germany, one of our core European markets with its sustainable build-to-suit solutions and high quality buildings in prime strategic locations. He will be an important addition to the management team as we realign and grow our platform in Northern Europe and more broadly across our European markets."

Karmann was most recently employed at Gazeley, the international logistics real estate developer. He served as Senior Vice President, European Operations responsible for the company's business in continental Europe.

Prior to Gazeley, Karmann served as the Deputy General Manager for the French engineering company GSE responsible for German and Central European subsidiaries. In addition Karmann was responsible for turnkey construction of industrial properties in North-East France for Bouygues and Steelcase.

Karmann holds a Master of Business Administration from the ecole de management in Lyon with a degree in business economics.
