Prologis acquires 38,600 m² distribution center in Moerdijk (NL)

Prologis, Inc., the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, today announced that it has acquired a 38,600 m² distribution center on the Orionweg in Moerdijk, Holland.

The distribution center is fully leased to a logistics service provider and a repeat customer of Prologis in the Benelux and in multiple other locations in Europe.

Moerdijk is an important seaport that is strategically located on the Hollands Diep River. This is an attractive location for Prologis, given that the property is close to both the harbor and container terminal. With the purchase of this modern, high-quality distribution center, Prologis now manages properties in four locations in Moerdijk totaling more than 94,000 m².

Bram Verhoeven, vice president and market officer for Prologis Benelux, said: "The purchase of this distribution center aligns well with our strategy and desire to invest in multi-modal locations in port areas. In doing so, we further strengthen our position in an important logistics axis where the demand for logistics real estate remains solid."

Prologis was advised by Jones Lang LaSalle and Lexence on this acquisition.

Prologis acquired the facility on behalf of its Europe Logistics Venture 1 Fund.

With a portfolio of 1.2 million m² distributed across 61 properties, Prologis is one of the leaders in the distribution business in the Benelux.
