DTZ Echinox, the global real estate consulting company, announced that the retailer Profi recently leased 15,000 m² warehouse space in IMMOFINANZ Group's project - LogCenter Ploiesti.
DTZ Echinox assisted the investor (IMMOFINANZ Group's) in improving the occupancy rate of their logistics portfolio by identifying a tenant that occupies 100% of the existing phase of LogCenter Ploiesti and provided the retailer Profi, that planned to set up a new distribution center in the South part of Romania, with the best option in terms of the location, quality of the building (reinforced concrete structure, 10.5 clear height, sprinkler system, great number of loading docks and ample outside concrete platform) and commercial terms.
This is the second warehouse secured by the retailer, after the existing 12,000 m² facility in Cluj. The expansion strategy of Profi supermarkets has been very dynamic in the past two years and with the new distribution center in Ploiesti the retailer will optimize its supply chain and will better position in the area. Profi has today a network of 150 stores and ambitious plans to grow.
LogCenter is a class-A logistic facility, located in the western part of Ploiesti, having direct access to DN 72 to Targoviste and is owned by IMMOFINANZ Group's, the largest real estate investor in Romania. The total project comprises 38 ha with 15,000 m² developed.
In Romania IMMOFINANZ Group is one of the leading real-estate developers and investors with a portfolio of 89 properties in mostly office and commercial space, estimated at 1,015.3 million. Romanian ranks third in the total Group portfolio holding a 9.7% share after Austria with 37.0% and Russia with 16.2%. In November 2011, IMMOFINANZ Group finalized the acquisition of Adama, a leading property developer in South East Europe with strong operations on the Romanian residential market. The transaction consolidates IMMOFINANZ Group's operations on the residential construction and development activities in the region and especially in Romania.
