PMT buys prime office building in Arnhem (NL)

The Dutch asset manager MN, acting for a pension fund for Metalworking and Mechanical Engineering Industry (PMT), has acquired the office building ‘De Rijntoren’ in Arnhem, the Netherlands. The vendor is Sechzigste Sachwert Holland. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The multi-tenant property is located next to Arnhem Central Station and comprises approximately 10,836m² divided over 16 floors, including the ground floor. It is let to 17 different tenants and has an EPC Label A, confirming it already meets the 2030 standard. The purchase of the ‘De Rijntoren’ is in line with PMT’s strategy to invest in properties which are located next to a central station or in the city centre of the 20 best Dutch office cities.

Jan de Quay, Managing Director Investment at Savills in the Netherlands, said: “Demand for well-connected prime offices outside the G4 (greater Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht) is growing, as also stated in our latest Market in Minutes. The purchase of ‘De Rijntoren’ underlines this development. In an increasingly competitive market, we are very pleased that we have been able to purchase this iconic blue office building on behalf of our client.”
