pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank strengthens European real estate finance team (FR/UK)

pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, a leading European real estate und public sector lender, is strengthening its European real estate finance team led by Managing Director Harin Thaker with new hires.

Philippe Duvergne,a seasoned originator, and Matthew Stansfield, a well-known French Property Analyst, joined pbb in the Paris office in January. In the London office the team is being expanded with the appointment of Matthew Clark and Eliza Klasinka.

This hiring initiative is a further sign of pbb's full return to the market following a period of restructuring over the last two years and its focus on regional business.

Philippe Duvergne, who has over 20 years' experience in real estate and banking, joined the origination team. Together with Renaud Jezequel, Managing Director, he will focus on origination and execution of domestic and cross-border structured real estate finance in France and throughout Europe. Philippe spent the last 10 years at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was part of the new team which created the Real Estate Business.

Matthew Stansfield, a Chartered Surveyor with over 11 years' experience in the French property market, will be responsible for the analysis of all property aspects for the French, Benelux and Swiss markets. pbb's Property Analysis team is on the ground in London, Paris, Munich and Madrid. Matthew joins pbb from Knight Frank, where he had been heading the valuation department since 2003.

Matthew Clark joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he was head of quoted companies, institutions and major corporates for real estate. He joined pbb as a director and together with Michael Kenney, Managing Director, he will be responsible for originating deals in the UK and throughout Europe.

Eliza Klasinka joined pbb as a property analyst. She joins from CBRE, where she was responsible for coordinating valuations carried out in Poland and other CEE countries.
