Parkridge crowned CEE Retail Developer of the Year (CEE)

Parkridge has further cemented its position as Central Europe's leading retail developer, with a string of awards at this year's CEE Retail Awards. The awards, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Warsaw, recognise the most important contributions to Central & Eastern European retail development over the past 12 months.

At this year's event, Parkridge picked up a total of five awards, including being crowned CEE Retail Developer of the Year. This year's haul of awards also included:

• CEE Retail Awards Project of the Year 2008 for Focus Mall Bydgoszcz
• CEE Retail Shopping Centre of the Year (medium) for Focus Mall Zielona Gora
• CEE Retail Shopping Centre of the Year of the Year (large) for Focus Mall Bydgoszcz

Jarolsaw Fijalkowski, Managing Director of Parkridge Retail Central & Eastern Europe, comments: "These awards mark the end of a busy and successful year for Parkridge. We are very proud of what we have achieved and are grateful to have been honoured by our peers in this way. Our priorities for 2009 and beyond include ensuring that our trading Focus Malls continue to exceed customers' and retailers' expectations and that those under construction are delivered on time and to their usual high standards."

These awards commemorate a busy year for Parkridge, in which the developer has opened three new shopping malls (Focus Mall Bydgoszcz, Focus Mall Zielona Gora and Focus Park Swidnica), offering around 80,000 m² of retail sales space between them.

Parkridge is continuing its rapid pace of progress in 2009, with a further Focus Mall scheduled to open in Piotrkow Trybunalski, and construction work now well underway at Focus Mall Jelenia Gora and Focus Mall Gliwice.

The CEE Retail Awards include entrants from a dozen or so countries, including Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Albania and Croatia. The judging panel for the awards includes around 100 professionals from throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
