Panattoni Europe starts work on another BTS manufacturing facility (PL)

Panattoni Europe, the leader in the warehouse space sector, is commencing another BTS project. It will be a manufacturing facility for an international company – an industry leader – totaling approximately 32,000 m². The general contractor is the Polish branch of Japan's Kajima Corporation, and the project is located in Radomsko within the Lódz Special Economic Zone.

Panattoni Europe's investment is fully dedicated to the new investor and their manufacturing specifications. The facility will take up 32,000 m², out of which 28,670 m² is planned for the production hall, with offices taking up 2,270 m², and a 1,000-m² technical building. In total, 400 employees will be working at the facility under a three-shift system. The general contractor is Kajima Poland whose extensive experience in the design and construction of technology-intensive facilities combined with innovative construction technologies is world famous. Construction work has started and is anticipated to be completed in autumn 2011.

"The Radomsko BTS is the second manufacturing facility to be developed by Panattoni Europe in the Special Economic Zone, the first one being the factory for Zelmer S.A.," said Marek Forynski, Panattoni Europe, adding: "I am happy that Panattoni Europe keeps improving its competences in the BTS market, through developing various custom-made projects. It proves that the entire team is highly professional."

Excellent location
The facility will be located in an industrial park in Radomsko, within the Lódz Special Economic Zone. The park has direct access to the European route E75, linking Warsaw and Silesia, which will soon become part of the A1 motorway. The park's excellent location has been recognized by such companies as Jysk, or Indesit. In the future, the exit off the A1 in Radomsko will be situated across from the park, which adds even more strategic appeal to the location.
