Panattoni Europe completes Faurecia BTS project (PL)

Panattoni Europe, the leader in the warehousing and industrial sector, has completed the construction of a BTS (build-to-suit) facility in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Contracted by Faurecia, a modern 17,600-m² manufacturing facility was built in six months as planned. The transaction was mediated by the real estate firm Colliers International.

Panattoni Europe has completed construction works on a BTS manufacturing facility for Faurecia - global leader specializing in manufacturing automotive equipment. The facility was built in Gorzów Wielkopolski – at the Kostrzyn-Slubice Special Economic Zone near the expressway S3 (E65).

The investment, totaling 17,600 m², comprises a 14,500-m² manufacturing hall, as well as 1,600 m² of office space and 1,500 m² for technical rooms. Construction works started last June and were completed on time in December 2011. The general contractor of the facility was Kajima Europe.

The facility in Gorzów Wielkopolski is Faurecia's second investment in the Kostrzyn-Slubice Special Economic Zone.

During the facility hand over, which took place on January 5, Faurecia's Operations Director, Artur E. Zieleñ, commented: "It is a great credit to Panattoni Europe that we can move into our new manufacturing facility in Gorzów Wielkopolski so soon. We wanted the new facility to be close to the existing one, and to start operations there as soon as possible. Thanks to Panattoni, we can put the first machine into the Gorzów II hall today."

The BTS facility for Faurecia has been built in a strategic location - in a region boasting huge economic potential, within the Kostrzyn-Slubice Special Economic Zone, as well as near the border with Germany, and also on the expressway S3 (E65), i.e. the European route running from north to south. Products made in the hall will include interior design elements for Volkswagen Amarok, Golf A7 and Mercedes W222.
