Panattoni delivers BTS facility for Recaro in Swiebodzin (PL)

Panattoni Europe, Poland's leader in warehouse and industrial space, announced that it has completed the investment for RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska Sp. z o.o. In eight months, as planned, the modern 10,700 m² manufacturing facility was built in Swiebodzin.

Panattoni Europe has completed construction works on the manufacturing facility for RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska Sp. z o.o. – the global leader specializing in airline economy seats. The new building was built in Swiebodzin, only a few kilometers from the company's original business premises.

The project comprises 10,700 m, of which 8,800 m² will be used to manufacture and store airline seats. The remaining space at the facility, 1,900 m², constitutes staff and office space arranged over two storys, featuring a non-standard and highly contemporary facade design – with glazing in traffic areas. Construction works started in November 2011 and were completed as planned in Q2 2012.

Distinguishing modern technologies have been applied in the construction, as a result of which as much as 12% of roof and wall area lets in natural light. Moreover, installations in place provide for the optimal energy management system.

As a result, it will be possible to operate an energy recovery system, that is recover the thermal energy used to heat the interiors. Due to the product lines manufactured - airline seats, the facility features one of the most advanced technologies in fire protection, meeting the HPR (Highly Protected Risk) certification standards, in compliance with the FMGlobal Standard.

The new production hall for RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska Sp. z o.o. has been built in Swiebodzin, at Dozynkowa and ul. Luzycka. It is part of the regional road no 276, running from Swiebodzin to Krosno Odrzañskie. Swiebodzin has a strategic location in western Poland.

It lies at the intersection of the national road no 2 dissecting Poland from east to west (Terespol-Swiecko) with the national road no S3 linking northwestern Poland with the southwest (from Swinoujscie to the border crossing to the Czech Republic in Jakuszyce). In Poland, the S3 – once completed – will run for 500 km and connect such cities as Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Legnica.
