Panattoni Europe, the leader in Poland's warehouse space sector, has completed works on an industrial facility for Zelmer SA.
While the 32,500-m² facility was being commissioned, production of the first small household appliances was already under way. It was possible because the relocation process of production lines had been initiated earlier.
The investment is located in Rogoênica and Wola Cicha, within the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec and it has started a trend in the industry. This transaction has been mediated by Jones Lang LaSalle.
Project completed
After less than seven months of advanced works on the production facility within the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec, Panattoni Europe handed the facility over to the tenant: Poland's biggest manufacturer of small household appliances, Zelmer SA.
The build-to-suit (BTS) facility was contracted by the Zelmer Group and is ideally suited to the tenant's needs.
The facility has been designed to perform three functions: manufacturing, taking up 17,500 m²; warehousing, planned on 11,000 m²; as well as the office and staff function, taking up 4,000 m². It is the developer's first production facility to be situated within a Special Economic Zone. Construction works started at the end of October last year.
"Currently, production takes place in two locations. The manufacturing process has been divided into streams production lines which are transferred one by one. All the lines not affected by the relocation process continue to operate in the old factory at ul. Hoffmanowej, in Rzeszów.
"The relocation of production lines requires a two-week break during that time employees go on holiday, while the relocation company moves the machines to the factory in Rogoznica," says Magdalena Bartos, Finance Director, Zelmer S.A. Group.
The relocation process of the entire factory should be finalised by August, and the official opening ceremony is planned for mid-September.
Efficient and environmentally friendly
Panattoni Europe's production facility for Zelmer SA makes optimal use of space and applies environment-friendly solutions. Process installations responsible for energy management allow for heat recovery processes, i.e. recovering the thermal energy used to heat the facility.

Panattoni Europe's BTS facility in Rzeszów is a modern industrial park located in Rogoênica and Wola Cicha, commune Glogów Malopolski - 8 km north of the center of Rzeszów, 200 m from the railway station, in the direct vicnity of the national road no 9 Radom-Rzeszów, 600 m from the 'Rzeszów Centralny' junction on the A4, currently under construction, and 4 km from the Rzeszów Jasionka airport.
