Opening of 90,000 m² Skopje City Mall (MK)

Skopje City Mall is opening its doors for customers. Skopje is finally getting opportunity to become a real regional shopping center in the Balkans, while Macedonia emerges as a desired destination for the consumers of the neighboring region.

The Mall has a total of 90,000 m², with 39,000 m² of leasable area and parking space for 1,300 vehicles.

For the first time in Macedonia, Skopje City Mall brings the Inditex Group fashion icons - Zara, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Pool and Bear and Stradivarius, the French giant Carrefour and the cinema operator Cineplexx.

"Thanks to its outstanding cultural, social, economic and development appeal, superb location and its premium esthetic and functional design, Skopje City Mall attracted global retail chains which decided to launch their presence in Macedonia through Skopje City Mall", said Mr. Zoran Antic, CEO of Fashion Group.

City Mall will meet the existing needs of the citizens for a modern and high-quality shopping space and will become the most successful shopping center in the Balkans, with close to 7.5 million visitors in the first year of operation. Skopje City Mall marked its opening with a rich line up of events. As a herald of its official start, a gala event was held attended by the state leadership, local government officials, representatives of the brands, key investors, local and regional business community, diplomatic corps, public figures and the media.

The guests enjoyed the exclusive and up-to-the-minute media and art expression - 3D Projection Mapping, for the first time presented in Macedonia by the famous Macedonian artists Zlatko Slavenski and Duke Bojadziev.
