Open-ended real estate funds important for Berlin's future development

If open-ended real estate funds, which bundle the joint caiptal of private investors, should invest in Berlin they could play a decisive role in BerlinÂ's future development, according to Deka Immobilien Investments. Land investment vehicles, which invest through open-ended real estate funds, own 71 sites in Berlin, with a total value of EUR 2.12 bln.

No less than 75% of all properties in Berlin is younger than 15 years. This provides another opportunity in the further development of the city, according to Deka.
