Amsterdam Arena, Heineken Music Hall, Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Centrumgebied Zuidoost (OMC) and Bouwfonds Property Development have taken the initiative for the development of the Music Dome for the amount of â⬠65 mln, a multifunctional accommodation for 12.000 to 15.000 visitors on the Arena Boulevard in Amsterdam. The Music Dome would also be suited for national and international topsport events. The City of Amsterdam still has to give its consent.
In the programming an amount of 85 events per year is expected with a growth to 120 events. For the realization there will be a close cooperation with Getz, the City of Amsterdam and the towndistrict Zuidoost. The founding costs for this private initiative of â⬠65 mln are financed for 50 % by the own fortune of the mentioned initiators and for 50% through a mortgage loan. The OMC is a joint collaboration of ING Real Estate, BAM Vastgoed and Ballast Nedam Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij. It is however also known that the towndistrict Amsterdam-Noord has its own plans for the realization of an indoorsportscenter in Amsterdam Noord. The City of Amsterdam is rumored to only give its consent to one plan.
