Olle Ehrlén appointed new President and CEO of NCC (NO)

The Board of Directors of NCC AB has appointed Olle Ehrlén as new President and Chief Executive Officer of NCC. Olle Ehrlén is currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NCC and president of the Group's largest business area, NCC Construction Sweden. He will succeed Alf Göransson and assume his new position on February 12, 2007.

Olle Ehrlén (56) has a degree in engineering from Chalmers Institute of Technology in Gothenburg. He has been employed by NCC since 1973 (at "Vägförbättringar") and has held several different positions within the NCC Group, involving both building and civil-engineering operations. In 2001, Olle Ehrlén became president of NCC Construction Sweden, the largest business area in the NCC Group, with sales of slightly more than SEK 20 billion and approximately 9,000 employees. In 2003, he was appointed Deputy CEO of the NCC Group. He is also chairman of the Swedish Construction Federation.

"In the past five years, I have driven, on an operational basis, the process of change that was initiated in 2001, and having the opportunity to continue developing the entire NCC Group will be a new challenge."

"Since NCC is developing well, it is particularly gratifying to appoint a person who is already employed by the company as new CEO. Olle Ehrlén has excellent management capabilities, which he has demonstrated, for example, by having established a broad-based and dynamic management team at NCC Construction Sweden during his years there. Under his management, the business area has developed into a well-trimmed construction operation that currently accounts for more than 50 percent of the Group's operating profit and is generating an excellent return, viewed over the past 12 months, says Tomas Billing, Chairman of the NCC Board.
