Ogmios Group opens Baltic Logistic City (LT)

Ogmios Group has announced that 'Baltic Logistic City', which is going to be the biggest logistic complex in the Baltic States, has started its activity. Upon completion of construction of the first building all the premises had been rented, and major part of the second building has already been reserved by clients. The implementation of the third phase of the project is scheduled for 2009.













The first logistic center of Baltic Logistic City opened on 22 November 2007 in the region of Kaunas. The total area of the building is 25,000 m². The project developer JSC "Via Baltika Logistika", member of Ogmios Group, has invested €15 million into the first phase of the project. The total cost of investment into the unique Baltic Logistic City is estimated at approx. €35 million, and about 400 working placed are to be created.

The logistic center is unique with the combination of its advantages. The strategically convenient location on the biggest crossroads in Lithuania: the international highway 'Via Baltica' – Helsinki-Tallinn-Riga-Kaunas-Warsaw and international highway Klaipeda-Kaunas-Vilnius-Minsk-Moscow, the biggest passenger airport and international railroad junction, good access from all biggest cities, spacey parking for cars and HV's allow it to be an extraordinary object in the logistic market of Lithuania.

The logistic city will consist of several modern class A warehouses (height - 10.5 m) with office premises, a customs terminal, a business center, a motel, a gas-station, leisure sites, logistic service center, conference and exposition halls, parking spaces for heavy trucks, truck service centers. Special attention is paid to the quality of works, modern technical solutions and creation of services. Management programme "Metalag" ensures the fastest acceptance and forwarding of cargoes.

The logistic city, which has a convenient location and well developed infrastructure, creates perfect business environment for Lithuanian and foreign companies.
