Ogmios Group opens Avenue in Panevezys, Lithuania (LT)

Lithuanian project developer Ogmios Real Estate has announced the opening on December 4, 2007 of the part of avenue that should in the future become a part of the new city bypass within the Babilonas project.

It will be the first street in Lithuania whose reservation has special road lights installed. A 3,000-m² agricultural machinery center has already started its activity next to it, and a 5,000-m² car retail and service center as well as a 7,300-m² DIY center will be opened next Spring.

By the year 2009, a residential quarter and a third shopping center will start growing by the new avenue. Ogmios Real Estate has a vision of a multi-purpose tower on the territory of Babilonas development aiming to be the highest one in the Baltic States.

The entire project occupies an 80-ha territory in Panevezys, the fifth biggest city in Lithuania and is the biggest one of its kind in the country. Babilonas will consist of three shopping centers, an office and hotel building, a residential quarter, a multi-functional district with warehousing and manufacturing purpose buildings, car showrooms and service centers.
