Nordea Poland enters into Pre-Lease Agreement with LANDPROP SERVICES (PL)

Nordea Bank Polska has entered into a pre-lease agreement for a built-to-suit office building in Gdynia, Poland of approximately 11,600 m² with LANDPROP SERVICES. The agreements signed are the culmination of a thorough search of all Nordea's alternatives in conjuction with Nordea's consultant Catella Property Group.

LANDPROP SERVICES and its subsidiaries have been active in Poland for several years and have a long track record of developing office buildings in Poland and throughout Europe. The group will construct Nordea Bank Polska's new premises to US Green Building Council's LEED Silver requirements on a plot of land purchased in 2009 within close proximity to the current Bank location.

Tommy B Johansson, Head of Outside Nordic Premises for Nordea commented; "It is pleasing to have reached an agreement with LANDPROP SERVICES that will see Nordea Bank Polska operating in a modern LEED Silver certified building. It is of the utmost importance that our premises meet with current and future requirements and this building will be one of few LEED certified buildings in Central and Eastern Europe. We are also pleased to be co-operating with a trusted partner in LANDPROP SERVICES."

Harald Müller, Business Development Manager at LANDPROP SERVICES said; "Whilst the financial details around this transaction remain confidential it is suffice to say that the transaction represents one of the largest transactions in Poland in 2009. It's pleasing to have been involved in a transaction where multiple all equity purchasers came to the table and that in LANDPROP SERVICES, NORDEA have secured a well funded developer with a successful track record and professional team in order to get the job done."

Nordea Polska aim to move into their new premises in 2012.
