Nominees for the first Mipim Asia Awards announced

The finalists for the first MIPIM Asia Awards have now been selected. The international jury, chaired by Dr Robert Lie, CEO of ING Real Estate Investment Management Asia, met in Hong Kong in September to choose the most outstanding property projects in the Asia Pacific region. A total of 21 projects (3 finalists in each of the 7 categories) were short-listed from close to 100 entries from 15 countries.

The MIPIM Asia Awards take place on November 28 prior to the event's gala Opening Cocktail Party. The second edition of MIPIM Asia, the world's property market in Asia Pacific, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 28 to 30.

"Located in countries as varied as Thailand, Sri Lanka, China, Japan and Singapore, the 21 nominees are all flagship projects in the countries represented. The number, quality and diversity of the submissions underline the dynamism of the Asia Pacific property sector, and the importance of MIPIM Asia as a showcase for their projects," says Gilles Saint Georges Chaumet, Director of MIPIM Asia.
