The Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) has concentrated its activities in relation to the regulation of the construction sector into the Construction Sector Investigation Project. A large team of experts in the areas of competition and investigation will investigate compliance with the Competition Act in the construction sector.
The investigation into ´parallel accounts´ will also be carried out as part of the project. Tips and other pointers that NMa has received recently, for instance through its information line, regarding experiences in relation to tenders will also be followed up. The project team will also analyse the competitive situation in the construction sector and make recommendations, where necessary, aimed at improving the operation of market forces. The project leader is Mrs M.W. McLaggan.
