Niam acquires residential portfolio in Denmark (DK)

Niam expands its investments in Denmark and acquires a portfolio with approximately 285 condominiums from Finansiel Stabilitet.
Niam has signed an agreement with Finansiel Stabilitet to acquire a residential portfolio with a total lettable area of 31,000 m².
As of December 31, 2014, Niam will take ownership of approximately 285 condominiums and townhouses located in Glostrup and Birkerød in the Greater Copenhagen area and in Næstved in the south west of Zeeland.
Johan Bergman, CEO of Niam said; "We are very pleased to complete this transaction which complements our existing residential portfolios in Denmark. Niam believes that the Copenhagen residential market will continue to be attractive for investments going forward, and that the positive development in the central parts of Copenhagen will affect the Metropolitan area."
Niam has made ​​significant investments in the Copenhagen area during the past years and will, with this transaction included, own more than 1,300 apartments totaling ​​ approx. 130,000 m².
