NewRiver Retail has confirmed it is in advanced negotiations with a vendor regarding the proposed acquisition of the Broadway shopping centre and Broadway Square in Bexleyheath town centre, London for approximately €153m (£120m – subject to negotiation).
The assets under consideration total 48,775m2 (525,000ft2) across an 11-acre site and are predominantly retail and leisure led. The potential acquisition is in line with the company's stated acquisition criteria and strategy focusing on delivering income returns for shareholders and creating dynamic retail experiences for retailers and consumers.
Negotiations are ongoing with the vendors, but there can be no certainty that an acquisition will be completed. The company will make a further announcement as appropriate.
