New retail project in Moscow to open in 2014 (RU)

Developer LLC MIRS, today appointed Cushman & Wakefield, the world's largest privately held commercial real estate services firm, as exclusive leasing agent for its Columbus project, a 277,000 m² shopping and entertainment center in Moscow.

Columbus has a total area of 277,000 m² and a GLA of 140,000 m².


The grand opening of Columbus which is situated in Moscow at 140, Varshavskoe shosse, adjacent to metro station Prazhskaya is planned for November 2014. LLC MIRS is the Investor and Developer of Columbus. The project concept was developed by architectural company C Concept Design.

Columbus with a total area of 277,000 m² and a GLA of 140,000 m² will become one of the largest, most fashionable, most powerfully anchored and most entertaining center in Moscow. The project is situated on Varshavskoe shosse, a strategic location between the third Transport Ring and MKAD on the way to the New Moscow. Metro station 'Prazhskaya' and various bus stations in the nearest proximity to Columbus guarantee great accessibility by all modes of transport.

Columbus will become a home for 300 shops and more than 25 restaurants. Anchor tenants will include a popular hypermarket chain with a total area of 8,500 m², a 5,350 m² sports goods retailer and 2,100 m² White and Brown. A two level fashion gallery with a total area of 70,000 m² with largest mix of international and Russian brands will make Columbus the best fashion destination in Moscow. A 9.5 meter shop front height on the ground floor allows retailers to create highly attractive shop fronts. Parking will accommodate over 2,600 parking lots.

The Columbus concept is strongly focused on a unique entertainment experience. The entertainment level includes the largest multiplex 15 screens including IMAX, ice rink, kids zone, large food court and restaurants with terraces.

Columbus will be exclusively leased by the retail team of Cushman & Wakefield: Anastasia Kuznetsova, Associate, and Senior Consultants Nadezhda Demianenko, Rezeda Sadritdinova and Anna Zorina.
