Directly next to Frankfurt Airport, a new hotel will be built in the shape of the Hampton by Hilton in the Gateway Gardens district, Thea-Rasche-Strasse 4. Construction work is scheduled to begin in early 2017 and inauguration is planned for 2018. The building is being developed by Gross & Partner Grundstucksentwicklungsgesellschaft and OFB Projektentwicklung. With a floor space of 10,820m², the hotel will, through mediation by Colliers International, be operated by Primestar Hospitality; this company has signed agreements with Hilton Multi Development to operate ten new hotels under the Hampton by Hilton brand in Germany.

This new hotel, in the three-star category, will feature eight floors above ground, and two basement levels, providing 196 rooms and 31 underground parking slots. The ground floor accommodates the breakfast and lounge areas, where breakfast and small snacks will be served. This area is accessible to everyone. The outdoor area here is particularly attractive, with a view towards the quarter’s central square. The building, designed by BGF+ Wiesbaden, is being developed around three approximately-150-year-old beeches, with high priority attached to sustainability; LEED certification in gold is being targeted.

“The new Hampton by Hilton will ideally complement existing overnight stay options at Frankfurt Airport in the upmarket hotel segment. We are gratified to note that with this project we can record yet another marketing success in Gateway Gardens. By the turn of the year, we expect to have raised the marketing rate for Frankfurt’s new district above the 40-per-cent level,” says Dr. Kerstin Hennig, Managing Director of the Grundstu?cksgesellschaft Gateway Gardens.

Wolfgang Gallas, Managing Director of Primestar Hospitality, adds: “We are delighted to be expanding our hotel portfolio at Frankfurt Airport with one of the bestknown international brands, thus still further supplementing the Hilton Group’s capabilities in Frankfurt.”
