New CoreNet Global UK President and Board announced (UK)

CoreNet Global, the international corporate real estate professionals organisation, has announced that Richard Paver (BP) has succeeded Susie Gray (Land Securities Trillium) as President of the UK Chapter. The organisation has also revealed details of their new board appointments.

Richard, formerly Deputy President of the UK Chapter and Vice President of the property team at BP International Limited, comments, I am looking forward to the challenge of leading such a dynamic organisation, continuing with the work and achievements of my predecessors in identifying ways to make the organisation indispensable to corporate real estate professionals in the UK.

Susie Gray comments, I am pleased to welcome Richard to the helm of CoreNet Global UK, and wish him every success in guiding and strengthening our Chapter further.

Over the past year I have made it my mission to re-engage members, make sure that they feel they receive value from their membership and encourage them to feel proud of their association with CoreNet Global.

It has been an exciting year for us, particularly thanks to the huge success of the annual UK Summit last November that led to the publication of our joint research with Johnson Controls on the stronger positions that corporate occupiers now enjoy in relation to landlords, the hugely popular tenth annual Corporate Real Estate Awards Dinner in London in February, and our role supporting continuing professional development through the Reading University MCR programme and European EDP programme.

The majority of the present UK board will remain in place to serve another term, but a number of new support positions are being created to ensure continuity on succession at the end of the principal Board members term of office and also provide the opportunity for members to become involved in the running and direction of CoreNet Global in the UK. The new support positions comprise finance, communications, learning, membership, programmes, sponsorship and a regional representative:

Jeremy Charles from Strutt & Parker and Robin Harris from Como will jointly take on the role of Deputy President ,as well as the roles of Vice President Membership and Vice President Programmes respectively. Other additions to the board include Tracey Byer, DTZ (Deputy Membership); Mark Cotterell, BT (Deputy Regional Representative); Michael Creamer, Cushman & Wakefield (Vice President Sponsorship); Nick Giraudeau, Cushman & Wakefield, (Deputy Learning); Keith Martin, Donaldsons (Deputy Sponsorship) and Ian Smith, AYH plc (Deputy Programmes).
