New brands in Leto in St. Petersburg (RU)

New world-famous brands such as Mothercare, NEXT, Claire's, The Body Shop, Justice and Starbucks will now be represented in the shopping and entertainment center Leto in St. Petersburg, and will occupy approximately 1,000 m² of the center. Justice and Starbucks are brand-new to the St. Pete retail market.

Jones Lang LaSalle is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for this project. Apsys and Sistema-Hals formed a joint venture for development of large-scale shopping centers, and Leto is their first project.

Leto is the first super-regional shopping and entertainment center in a rapidly developing Pulkovo area in the south part of St. Petersburg. Its total area is more than 107,000 m² with a leasable area of 79,000 m². The official opening of the center is planned for Q3 2009.

Leto is located in an actively developing southern part of the city on Pulkovskoye shosse, 600 meters away from the KAD. Pulkovskoye shosse runs in the Moskovsky prospect, one of the St. Petersburg main thoroughfares connecting the city center with the Pulkovo international airport.

The anchor tenants of the shopping and entertainment center will be a hypermarket, multi-screen cinema, sports outlets, white&brown. There will be a large number of clothes and shoe shops; accessories, cosmetics and perfumery; jewelry and home decoration stores.

The important component of Leto will be family entertainment center which will include multi-screen cinema, big entertainment complex for kids and a food court. A 1,000 m² skating ring will become one of the competitive advantages of the center. There will also be a parking area for 3,200 cars.

The center has convenient transport access; with the completion of the southern part of the KAD by 2009 almost 80% of the territory will be within the catchment area of Leto. Daily traffic flow near the center is more than 100,000 cars.

In the next few years it is planned to build over 900,000 m² of residential. Further development of this area envisages building of administrative and business centers and hotels.
