NEINVER strengthens its position as outlet operator with three new projects in Europe (EU)

NEINVER plans to develop three new outlet centers in Spain, The Netherlands and Germany. These outlet projects will add to the 15 outlet centers and the 311,000 m² GLA that the Spanish company already manages in six European countries.

In Spain, NEINVER plans to develop its first outlet center in Catalonia region. ‘Viladecans The Style Outlets’ will have a commercial area of 25,000 m² and 150 units. This project is located in a very strategic area of 75,000 m², 10 minutes away from the center of Barcelona by motorway and 10 minutes from El Prat airport and the international harbor of Barcelona. This project entails an €80 million investment and the creation of 1,000 employments in the local area.

In The Netherlands, the joint venture between MAB Development and NEINVER plans to develop ‘Amsterdam The Style Outlets’. The future center will be placed in the former industrial area of Sugar City and it will house a retail area of 18,000 m² and 100 units in its first phase. The outlet center can be easily reached from the A200 via the N200, and the Amsterdam - Haarlem train will have a stop directly in front of the outlet center.

The works of both projects in Spain and The Netherlands are due to start in 2014 and the centers are expected to open in Q4 2015.

Additionally, the joint venture goes-ahead for a new project in Werl in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany. Although the project is still at a very early stage, the joint venture has recently secured the land for the construction of the outlet center. Germany is a well-known market for NEINVER where it operates ‘Zweibrücken The Style Outlets’, the largest outlet in Germany.
