NCC to build shopping center in Denmark for SEK 424 million (DK)

NCC Construction Denmark has been commissioned to build a new shopping center in Hellerup, Denmark. The order was placed by Carlsberg Ejendomme A/S and Braatens + Pedersen and is worth SEK 424 million (approx. €45m). The assignment will be registered among orders received during the fourth quarter of 2005.

The approximately 16,000 square meters shopping center, which will be called Waterfront, is being developed by Carlsberg Ejendomme A/S and Braatens + Pedersen and will be built by NCC Construction Denmark. The order also includes a two-story parking garage.

Waterfront will be built in the Tuborg Syd area of Hellerup and is scheduled to be opened in October 2007.

The assignment was secured as a result of the excellent cooperation between NCC and Carlsberg Ejendomme that arose when the two companies developed the Tuborg Harbor industrial area into a new residential and office block.

About 200 employees will be involved in the work on the shopping center.
