NCC to build housing in Hammarby Sjöstad for SEK 221 million (SE)

NCC Construction Sverige has been commissioned by Riksbyggen to build 137 apartments at Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm. The order is worth SEK 221 million and the first apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in the spring 2008.

The project comprises the construction of 137 apartments divided into three buildings in the Seglatsen property block at Hammarby Sjöstad. In addition, premises for commercial operations and a garage will be built on the basement level and under the courtyard.

The apartments, which range from one to five rooms, will be tenant-owned units of a solid standard. The apartments are bright and airy and most of them have views in several directions. Large windows, oriels and a ceiling height of 2.6 meters are features that contribute to this. The apartments have balconies or terraces. Some have both a balcony and terrace.

The buildings will be constructed close to the Hammarbykanalen canal and, as a result of the adjacent marina, many of the apartments will have a beautiful view.

Preparatory groundwork has already commenced and construction of the buildings will start during February. The first apartments are scheduled for completion during spring 2008.

The order will be registered during the first quarter of 2006.
