NCC Construction AS has signed a partnering agreement worth more than €19 million (SEK 195 million) with property company Hagan Eiendom to build 189 apartments at Hagan Gård in Bærum Municipality.
"This is our third partnering agreement with the same customer during the past three years. The agreements pertain to 395 apartments in the Oslo area," says Terje S. Eknes, regional manager for residential construction in Construction Region Oslo. "The new agreement is clear proof that partnering provides an excellent basis for long-term customer relations. Both parties are delighted that we will be able to use the same project team throughout the entire process. We know each other and know how to cooperate."
Partnering is a structured form of cooperation in the construction industry, whereby the developers, consultants and contractors jointly execute a construction project. The method is based on open and mutually trusting cooperation, with all the different occupational skills complementing each other throughout all phases of the project.
NCC has previously built 120 apartments at Kingosgate, and 83 apartments are currently under construction at Akersbakken. Both developments are in Oslo and on behalf of the same customer.
The project at Hagan Gård is scheduled to commence immediately and be completed by autumn 2009. The partnering agreements do not cover prefabricated concrete or technical work.
