NCC secures €27.9m Swedish resi project

NCC, acting in partnership with Familjebostader, will construct 129 rental apartments close to the new Alvsjostaden city district, south of Stockholm. The order value is c.€27.9m (SEK 300m). Alvsjostaden is a major urban development area in Alvsjo, comprising a total of approximately 1,500 housing units in three phases. Kabelverket 17 comprises a block in the third phase with units ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments with balconies or terraces and high-quality materials. The building will benefit from a parking facility for 30 vehicles.

The project work is proceeding in accordance with Alvsjostaden’s environmental and energy plan, and the housing units are being built to meet a Silver environmental rating from the Sweden Green Building Council. Earth and groundworks have commenced and occupancy is scheduled for 2021.

“We are pleased that our cooperation with Familjebostader is growing and that we have had the possibility to work together from an early stage to secure a sustainable result,” said Henrik Landelius, Business Area Manager of NCC Building Sweden. “The housing in this area will be made from quality materials and have low energy consumption, while also being cost and space-efficient, thereby enabling Familjebostader to set reasonable rents.”
