NCC secures €19m healthcare project in Gothenburg (SE)

NCC has signed an agreement with Specialfastigheter to build new premises for the Swedish National Board of Forensic Medicine. The project concerns new premises for the forensic psychiatry investigation unit in Gothenburg, Sweden. The order value is c. 19.36m.

“NCC is highly experienced in the construction of various types of public buildings. For this project, expertise is needed for premises that meet both high security standards and that will be used for high-tech operations. We are immensely proud to once again carry out construction work for the National Board of Forensic Medicine, this time in Gothenburg,” said Magnus Simonsson, Business Manager, NCC Building Sweden.

The National Board of Forensic Medicine’s forensic psychiatry operations in Gothenburg, also known as Salix, conduct forensic psychiatric investigations and risk assessments. NCC’s assignment is to construct administrative premises and an integrated department for forensic psychiatric investigations with 14 places.

The premises will be optimized for the operations they will be used for, and feature different security levels and zones that will offer a positive and safe environment for investigations and other work activities. The building will be Miljobyggnad Silver certified.

Construction has commenced and the project is scheduled for completion during the third quarter of 2025.
