Multi and Heijmans have sold the new Dutch Cegelec BV headquarters at the Amstelwijck Business Park in Dordrecht to a private investor. The total investment value amounts to around €7.1 million.

The new Cegelec headquarters comprises approx. 2,400 m² office space and 1,500 m² operational floor space, with car parking spaces; for which Cegelec has negotiated a 10-year lease. Appelhoven Real Estate Advisors acted on behalf of the buyer in this transaction, with Van Steenveldt Real Estate Partners taking care of the finances.

Amstelwijck
Amstelwijck is the southern gateway to the Randstad. Its central location adjacent to the A16/E19 between Rotterdam and Breda, together with the N3, provide for excellent accessibility. The park comprises a blend of office villas, offices and high-grade business premises. Out of doors both pedestrian and cycle paths, as well as beautiful ponds have been laid out. In total the Amstelwijck Business Park provides for 70,000 m² office space and 35,000 m² business premises.
Meanwhile Multi and Heijmans have realised offices for Trust International and Infra Safety Services at Amstelwijck. Moreover, Multi and Heijmans have also realised an office, with business foyer, for De Bruyn Intergips, and a new build for Looije & Amstelkroon and the Delta Development Group. Tenants Groenewegen & Partners and Visser & Silfhout are based in this Delta Works office building.
Recently a lease was also negotiated with Van der Valk for the construction of an hotel at the Amstelwijck Business Park. It concerns a 14-story hotel, with 148 rooms, a contemporary restaurant and congress center, as well as a car park. The construction work is to commence in autumn 2009 and the hotel shall be completed towards the end of 2010.
Job opportunities
At present more than 600 people are employed at Amstelwijck and the expectation is that with the arrival of new companies employment opportunities shall be created for approximately another 600 people.
