The 2,531 bags of used or unwanted clothes donated by Forum Montijo visitors.
MMM Portugal had organized the largest ever community assistance program to collect 2,531 bags of used or unwanted clothes from Forum Montijo visitors to give to those in need. Each bag contained 40 pieces of clothing, thus totaling 101,240 pieces (more than enough to dethrone the previous record of 33,000 pieces held in Washington US, in 2009 and gain the new record for Multi Mall Management Portugal).
It was a challenge to separate and count the pieces of clothing to break the record, but the commitment and determination of the MMM team prevailed. Distribution of the clothes is still in progress.
The event was covered extensively on RTP1 and SIC prime time (Portuguese National TV stations) and on Facebook.
