On February 18, 2012 at 14.25 CET, Footfall figures from each center, indicated that the landmark 2,000,000,000 visitor level had been reached in total.* That's 30% of the world's population, or the entire population of China AND Europe.
MMM operates and manages shopping centers developed by Multi Development, and for independent owners; in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Germany and Turkey.
The celebrations had begun counting down in the centers 2 weeks before, and on social media. Simultaneously, hundreds of thousands of visitors were thanked by, and celebrated with, Multi center managers and staff in festivities that included prize-givings, parties, lotteries, quizzes, games and champagne.
