Celebration started with the RE-Party, a big festival. With its 8-hour programme of indoor and outdoor performances together with intriguing in-store promotion, the RE-Party attracted 35,000 visitors from all over the city and the region. I Petali di Reggio is Multi Development's first project to have opened in Italy. Four other projects are under development in Rome, Palermo, Como and Venice/Mestre. ING Real Estate bought I Petali di Reggio and added the property to the Italian Retail Fund portfolio. The investment value is approximately €95 million.
I Petali di Reggio
I Petali di Reggio (28,500 m²) is a multifunctional project in Reggio Emilia, a middle-size city in the North of Italy. The location is excellent: very close to the exit of the A1 Motorway, the main highway connecting the north and the south of Italy. It is also easily accessible from the outer rims of Reggio Emilia, as well as from the nearest towns. Architects are T+T Design, The Netherlands (Master plan), Chapman Taylor, Spain and Studio Morasso, Italy.
The project is unique in Italy because it is the only shopping & leisure mall developed as part of a football stadium complex. I Petali di Reggio has two shopping levels offering 50 units. Anchors are Zara, Intersport, Mediaworld, Pittarello, Virgin Active and UCI Cinemas. The foodcourt is located at ground floor level and features 11 Bars & Restaurants with both ethnic and Italian cuisine. The first floor is entirely dedicated to an 11 screens multiplex cinema and a 4-floor tower hosts a 3,500-m² top quality health club. I Petali di Reggio offers a well-balanced mix of shopping, fun, leisure and wellness facilities. Visitors have a big external parking area at their disposal with more than 2,000 parking spaces.
In his welcome speech Multi's managing director, Mauro Mancini said: "Today the city of Reggio has definitely embraced I Petali in a way that exceeds all expectations. It is a clear sign that the potential of this project is recognized. I Petali has much to offer and the visitors will experience a new concept of shopping & leisure".
