Almost 70% of the retail premises have already been let.

The Arneken Galerie is being built in the heart of the city, with some 28,000 m² GLA on three levels, for about 90 rental units. The area will be used for retail, service companies, catering establishments, offices, and a day care center for children. The complex will include a multi-story car park with around 400 parking spaces.

Designed as an open-plan city space, the Arneken Galerie consists of three structural elements, the main building, being built between, Kardinal-Bertram-Strasse and Kaiserstrasse and the two shopping streets between Arnekenstrasse and Almsstrasse, which conveniently link the main building with the pedestrian area (Almsstrasse). The Arneken Galerie will be a highly attractive addition to Hildesheim's city center while featuring new retail concepts.

Many well-known tenants have already secured space in the Arneken Gallery, including Saturn, bookshop Decius, Intersport Voswinkel, DM-Drogerie Markt, Das Depot, Schuhkay, Tom Tailor, Esprit, Mustang and Triumph.

"Almost 70% of the retail premises have already been let. The Arneken Galerie will be a resounding success for retailers as well as for the citizens of the city of Hildesheim," said Hendrik Nanninga, Managing Director of Multi Development Germany GmbH.

The Arneken Galerie will open in spring 2012. Currently, around 300 people and seven cranes are working on the building site. The number of construction workers will peak at 600 in the autumn, when shop-fitting will begin. Some 36,000 m² of concrete and around 6,000 tons of steel are being used in the construction. Facade works and fitting of the glass roof will now commence.
