Multi appoints new Director of Corporate Branding & Communication, Mark Cunningham (NL)

Multi Corporation has announced the appointment of Mark Cunningham (52) as Director of Corporate Branding and Communication, commencing 1 May 2008.

Commenting on the appointment Glenn Aaronson, CEO of Multi Corporation, said: "Mark's appointment represents a key new step in the company's development. It recognizes the critical importance of marketing and communications now that we are the largest retail developer in Europe with 70 major projects concentrating on inner-city revitalization."

Mark Cunningham was born in London and started his career in marketing communications on the JWT graduate training programme. Working continuously in the advertising industry, within nine years he became a Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide. Later at the age of 36 he was appointed CEO of Saatchi Netherlands, which he successfully restructured before moving on to TBWA. At TBWA/Campaign Company he was responsible for European communications for companies such as Nissan Europe, Canon Europe and Apple Europe.

For the last three years, operating his own company - Rumor around the Brand - in Amsterdam, he worked extensively in the launching of Shoestring Adventure Travel across Europe.

Mark is a talented communications specialist who has been responsible for award-winning campaigns in London, Asia, New York, Netherlands and Cannes including numerous awards including the industry-coveted Bronze, Silver and Gold Lions. Mark Cunningham succeeds Willem den Haring who is retiring after 18 years with the company. Hans van Veggel, Chairman of Multi, said, "Willem den Haring has been a highly valued and important member of the Multi family. He has our very best wishes for his well-earned retirement as the company moves into a new era."
