New Look, one of the UK's largest fashion retailers has signed for a 20,000 ft² (1,850 m²) store over 2 levels in Multi's SouthGate development in Bath. New Look will open new stores along with Boots, H&M, and others in Phase 1 this November.
Stuart Harris, Leasing Director at Multi Development (UK) Ltd. said, "We are delighted to have secured one of the the UK's most fashion-forward retailers. We have lots of offers and interest on the remaining units from more great brands. Everybody who comes to Bath is wowed by the quality of our development and the strength of Bath as a trading location."
Amanda Herron of New Look said, "We are delighted to have finally secured representation in Bath, our last remaining major outstanding requirement."
SouthGate is the largest ever mixed-use development in Bath city centre (417,000 ft²). Its retail, residential and leisure areas will be linked by classic Georgian-style open streets, with major public spaces, including a large central square, designed to hold community, arts and entertainment events. The open streetscape will connect over 65 shops, cafes, and restaurants anchored by a 125,000 ft² Debenhams department store.
The development will include 99 apartments and 860 new underground parking spaces. Multi are also joint venture Investors with Aviva. Aviva Investors is one of the largest and most successful managers of property assets in the UK and Europe.
